You can prolong your summer feeling at Rascasse
Crispy fried sardines with gazpacho, pan con tomate and pimientos de Padrón: this Spanish-Moroccan fish shop in Amsterdam is...
The summer lasted a day or two this year and is now really turning into autumn. Do you refuse to accept this and want to hold on to those summer vibes a little longer? Then check out these fun Spanish-Moroccan fishmonger in Amsterdam-Oost and put off autumn just a little longer.
I ate here for the first time last summer and it made me properly happy. You eat super cool gazpacho and perhaps my favourite sandwich: tomato on toast. Pan con tomate is the best version of tomato bread that exists. And so you eat it really nicely with Scorpionfish…

...what scorpionfish means. And this is a scorpionfish (on the window, anyway):

You are sitting very comfortably out there in the sun, but inside isn't bad either…

Aside from gazpacho and pan con tomate, you can go there for fried anchovies with lemon...

...and you'd be robbing yourself of your own joy if you didn't order patatas bravas with that. Mint tea or lemonade to go with it (no alcohol is served).
Alongside all kinds of fried fish that you can choose yourself from the display case, they also make paella and tortilla.

And you'll find all sorts of delights there that you can take home with you. Such as tinned mussels:

Or this famous and notorious salsa:

Made from vinegar, red and black pepper and spices. The perfect sauce to go with tinned fish and olives, but also not bad with an omelette, squid or crisps. You can find all sorts of fun things like this at Rascasse. And also fresh fish to cook with at home:

Also eaten (a lot) here: pimientos de padrón mmmmm.

And while you're there, could you also just pop in and here room for dessert and other treats.
