What is The Tribe+ exactly?

The Tribe+ is inner circle from Mooncake: a community for curious eaters who want to look beyond the standard lists. You get access to exclusive maps (Mooncake Maps), receive a special newsletter every month and get access to all content on mooncake.nl with behind-the-scenes stories, exclusive addresses, great lists, tips, giveaways and much more.

What is Mooncake Maps?

Mooncake Maps is an interactive world map packed with exceptional places to eat: from a hidden Portuguese pasteleria to mouth-watering Vietnamese phở in Paris, or a Jamaican neighbourhood restaurant just around the corner. Every pin has been personally discovered and tasted by Mooncake itself.

What do I get as a Tribe+ member that others don't?

How much does the membership cost?

You can pay for Tribe+ monthly or annually.

The subscription can be cancelled at any time.

How can I pay?

At this moment you can pay with iDeal and Bancontact.

How often is Mooncake Maps updated?

Regularly! Every month, new addresses, cities or food cultures are added. Sometimes these are entirely new maps (such as Mooncake in Paris), sometimes expansions of existing cities.

Which cities or countries are on it?

Currently, you can find these places on Mooncake Maps:

How do I use Mooncake Maps?

Very simple: after logging in, click on MAP in the menu. Or this link. You can open that on your laptop or phone. You can filter by category and city or town and even navigate from within the app.

Can I also use the card while travelling?

Yes! The cards work wherever you have internet. So they're perfect for food trips or for spontaneously planning a culinary mini-trip without leaving the country.

How are the addresses selected?

Everything you see has been selected per location: Mooncake eats, travels, talks and tastes its way through cities. Sometimes via tips from followers, but always selected on the basis of authenticity, story and taste.

Are only the addresses of Mooncake's socials on the card or are there more?

There are many more than what is on Mooncake’s Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Will the addresses also appear in videos or stories?

Yes, some places on the Mooncake Map will also appear later in Mooncake videos or social posts – Tribe+ members often get a sneak peek first.

When will I receive the Tribe newsletter?

Every first Sunday of the month.

I am a member but haven't received a newsletter?

Have you checked your spam folder yet? Sometimes Mooncake’s emails end up there. Add Mooncake to your contacts or mark the newsletter as “not spam” to prevent this in future. Is the newsletter not in your spam folder either? Then email office@mooncake.nl.

What is the difference with the free newsletter?

The free newsletter is much less comprehensive. The Tribe newsletter features several in-depth articles and sections such as “The discovery of the month” or a list of “10 innovative Turkish dining spots you cannot miss” which can also be found on the website later on.
